    Traditional Design with Modern Appeal

    “Today’s Traditional Décor” is a term we have used in our projects to describe an eclectic mix of time honored, traditional details paired with a clean lined modern aesthetic. To achieve the ideal balance of the two styles in this Client’s home, careful attention was paid to the placement of both classic and modern elements.  A boldly patterned fabric was chosen to provide a dramatic backdrop to an elegant and comfortable seating group. The geometric pattern on the rug provided a modern contrast to the traditional tailoring of the chair’s curves and castor legs. Using a natural fiber woven cocktail table kept the room feeling relaxed and fresh for the Client’s casual lifestyle. To bring it all together vintage brass accessories were grouped with crisp white ceramics and fresh botanical elements. The end result ? A room with traditional styling that has modern appeal.
